Light in the Darkness is the first part in a series of four events aimed to make arts more accessible to the South Park Community. The events are put together by the South Park Arts & Culture Collective, a resident-led group seeking to build spaces of belonging for our neighbors through the arts. Thank you and supported by the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods!
This event celebrates hope in the midst of darkness, showcasing performance and visual artists who represent our community, encouraging unity and connection among attendees. Music, spoken word, painting and arts will be both performed and attendees encouraged to participate. There will be an open mic session after the performances and opportunities to make your own visual art through the evening.
Appetizers/small bites made in South Park with love by Global Chill, Daneca Tran and Dennis Diaz, in beginning phases of starting a catering company! A free all ages event! Drinks for purchase from the South Park Hall's bar. Many opportunities to share what you'd like to see in the future for a positive South Park and see ways to connect with others doing the same!
We're so excited to be able to present 3 performing artists, with the evening kept moving by the wonderful Kema Jones hosting!
